The 8,500 Sodiaal producers are distributed throughout 60 French departments. They are gathered into 20 sections, which are for organizational reasons grouped into five large milk collecting regions (North, Central-East, South-East, Auvergne South-West, West). The 675 Sodiaal Union partners working in these regions are at the service of the producters and provide the following:
- milk collection, a daily and essential mission, the second step after milking, with tracking that must be faultless
- supply of factories
- consulting, technical assistance and agricultural supplies for the production of quality milk
- farm refrigeration service
- training and informing producers
- management of dairy quotas and milk prices.

Thus, the regions, by their activities, allow each milk producers to adapt under the best conditions to the transformation of his industry and to changes in the dairy markets.
